On day 11 of the Paris Olympics, China dominated the women’s diving 10-meter platform final as Quan Hongchan claimed gold, and her fellow compatriot Chen Yuxi bagged silver.

Chinese athlete Zhao Jie secured bronze in the women's hammer throw finals, with Canada’s Camryn Rogers capturing gold and Team USA’s Annette Nneka Echikunwoke taking silver.

China's Yang Liu defeated Chinese Taipei's Wu Shih Yi in the women's 66 kg boxing semifinals and will battle Algeria’s Imane Khelif for gold in Friday's finals. Noteworthy is that Khelif, who has been at the center of a gender row at the Olympics, was cleared of any allegations by the International Olympic Committee. More importantly, she has shown class after defeating her opponents, some of whom have criticized her unjustly on social media.

China's Yang Wenlu also took home the silver medal in her fight against Ireland's Kellie Harrington in the women's 60 kg boxing final. Harrington had previously won gold at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, cementing her name as one of female boxing’s greats.

In other sports, Bahrain’s Winfred Yavi shined in the 3000-meter steeplechase final, clinching gold and breaking the Olympic record set by Gulnara Samitova-Galkina in the 2008 Beijing Games. Uganda’s Peruth Chemutai grabbed the silver with Kenya's Faith Cherotich finishing third for the bronze.

The U.S. had another big day on the world stage as Harvard graduate Gabrielle Thomas captured gold in the 200-meter sprinting final, leaving St Lucia’s 100-meter gold medalist Julien Alfred in second place. American sprinter Brittany Brown also took the bronze, making it an American-dominated podium.
