Introduction
Jointly released by Bank of China and Air China Limited in 2007, Bank of China-Air China PhoenixMiles Visa Olympic Credit Card is a co-branded aviation card under the international standards. As Olympic rights of the bank expired on December 31, 2008, Bank of China terminated the issuance of the card in December, 2008 and changed the card name to Bank of China-Air China PhoenixMiles Credit Card.
Bank of China-Air China PhoenixMilesVisa Olympic Credit Card, with the Fuwa image on its surface, is a special Olympic commemorative version. The card remains effective within validity (Date of expiry is marked below the embossed card number on the front, and the date format is month/year).
As a standard Bank of China Credit Card, Bank of China-Air China PhoenixMiles Credit Card offers the basic functions and services of its kind. In addition, the card offers multiple value-added services, including reward points for air mileage, and exclusive flight insurance.
Functions
As a dual-currency Visa credit card under the international standards, Bank of China-Air China PhoenixMiles Credit Card offers the basic functions and services of a standard Bank of China Credit Card, including payment after consumption, grace period, minimum payment amount and other revolving credit functions as well as cash advance, installment, global merchant discounts, reward points and so on, fully satisfying customers' needs for consumption and wealth management. In addition, the card offers multiple measures including SMS prompt, optional password verified card payment and zero risk loss report, safeguarding each trip of customers.
Features
1. Two-in-one card
Only by filling out an application form, customers can complete application for Bank of China Credit Card and membership of the PhoenixMiles Club. The bank will emboss the membership number below the cardholder's name on the card surface. With the credit card, customers can enjoy air mileage accumulation and other PhoenixMiles membership services.
2. Double reward points
With payment or cash withdrawal by card, customers can obtain double points of "bright future" and "colorful gifts". Points of "bright future" are redeemed for Air China mileage on a monthly basis, and the additional 50% points of "colorful gifts" can be redeemed for Air China mileage and other various gifts in "reward points 365".
3. Triple mileage accumulation
The first accumulation: "Bright future" points will be automatically redeemed for Air China mileage on the monthly statement date. Every 18 points can be changed for one kilometer. Redemption should start at 18 points and the part less than 18 points will be added to the next statement;
The second accumulation: Reward points redemption rules of "Bank of China reward points 365" for Bank of China Credit Card series shall be applicable to "colorful gifts" program, where customers can redeem various gifts at their own discretion. Every 16 points can be changed for one kilometer with 500 kilometers as the start point. The first redemption should be 1,000 kilometers at least;
The third accumulation: Buying air tickets of Air China or partners of Air China by the card, customers can obtain mileage awards of PhoenixMiles.
4. Large sum of flight insurances
Safety is the top consideration for frequent travelers. Customers of Bank of China-Air China PhoenixMiles Credit Card may enjoy comprehensive and considerate insurance services:
Customers can enjoy a large sum of travel insurances, such as flight accident insurance, flight delay insurance, and luggage loss insurance when purchasing air tickets or paying more than 80% of group tour fee with the card.
Target Customers
Chinese citizens aged 18 or older, with full capacity for civil conduct and legitimate stable income, foreigners with Residence Permit in China and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, can apply for Bank of China-Air China PhoenixMiles Credit Card at the local branch. Bank of China accepts principal card applicants aged between 18 and 65 and supplementary card applicants aged 16 or older.
Required Documents
1. Identity documents:
For domestic residents: a copy of valid ID card or interim ID card (both sides), or military ID card;
For foreign nationals:
① Valid passport;
② Copy of Residence Permit for Foreigners, or copy of Residence Permit for Foreigners attached on the visa page in the passport or copy of Permanent Residence Permit for Foreigners;
For citizens from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan: a copy of Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents, Hong Kong and Macau Compatriot Home-visiting Permit or Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents.
2. Evidence of permanent residence: (Any of the items below):
Copy of the Hukou card (book);
The water, electricity and gas payment voucher of the latest three periods;
The fixed-line telephone payment voucher of the latest three periods;
Dormitory evidence issued by the employer;
House Lease Contract (Agreement);
Self-owned property certificate;
Payment voucher for residential property management fee;
Residence certificate issued by the community office;
Credit card statements for the latest two months or the individual income tax payment certificate for the latest three months;
Other supporting documents which can testify to the permanent residential address.
3. Financial status documents (Any of the items below):
Regular payroll or income proof of the latest three months issued by governmental institutions or enterprises (company seal or department seal required);
Copy of passbook/statement for agency salary payment issued by the agent bank (with salary information of the latest three months);
Copy of individual income tax payment certificates for the latest three months;
Copy of withholding certificate for social security payment;
Copy of self-owned property certificate;
Copy of certificate/passbook of bank time deposit and current deposit;
Copy of purchase certificates for fund, T-bond and corporate bond (with the buyer's name, account number and account balance);
Copy of membership cards and the like, including: golf membership card, China Mobile/China Unicom VIP card, Air China platinum card, gold and silver membership cards, China Southern Sky Pearl gold and silver membership cards, Eastern Miles Club gold and silver membership cards and so on. (with cardholder name and validity of the card).
