Man sets world record for bathing in ice cubes
A 60-year-old man, wearing nothing but shorts, has broken the world record by taking the longest bath in a container filled with ice cubes for 115 minutes, Chinanews.com reported.
Jin Songhao, from Jiamusi city, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, broke the record on a reality show called"Challenge the Impossible"broadcast by China Central Television (CCTV) on Sept 13.
"After 113 minutes I felt cold and it was hard to speak properly," Jin was quoted as saying. "The host asked me whether I wanted to give up. But I was almost there, so I gathered all my strength to hold on for two more minutes."
Jin set the previous record of 113 minutes and 10 seconds last year.
Starting cold-resistance training in 1986, Jin said he had always aspired to go to the south and north poles to endure the blistering cold.
