THE World University Rankings
CityUHK excelled in multiple evaluation indicators in the latest 2025 THE World University Rankings with a perfect score in the "Industry” indicator and a continued top position globally. Additionally, CityUHK performed exceptionally well in “International Outlook” and “Research Quality”, ranking second globally in the former category for six consecutive years, highlighting its achievements in promoting academia-industry collaboration and international cooperation.
CityUHK hosts Principals’ Luncheon 2024
CityUHK held Principals’ Luncheon 2024 under the theme “Nurturing Global Talent and Future Leaders” on 30 September, which also marked the officially launch of nine new Flagship Programmes. About 100 guests attended the Luncheon, engaging in meaningful conversations and hearing about the latest developments at CityUHK.
CityUHK Undergraduate Info Day 2024
CityUHK held its Undergraduate Info Day on 5 October, attracting over 24,000 visitors, reaching a record high. Nearly 200 activities were arranged for students and parents. Students and parents were able to experience the international campus life and unique university culture of CityUHK through their fruitful visit.
Nearly 210 CityUHK scholars named among the World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists
Nearly two hundred and ten scholars from CityUHK were named among the “World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists”. Compared to the overall number of teaching and research staff at the University, this is the highest proportion of top scientists in Hong Kong, demonstrating the University’s exceptional research capabilities. The research achievements of these scholars are widely cited by their peers and internationally recognised.
Alumni in Shanghai celebrate the 30th Anniversary of CityUHK
CityUHK held an Alumni Reunion Dinner in Shanghai on 28 September, which was joined by over 200 alumni from various cities in the mainland to celebrate CityUHK’s 30 years of excellence at the dinner.
Naming Ceremony for the Benjamin & Anny Kwok Conference Room
CityUHK hosted the naming ceremony for the Benjamin & Anny Kwok Conference Room on 4 October, on the 4/F of the Yip Kit Chuen Building, in recognition of alumnus Mr Benjamin Kwok, Managing Director of Kwonnie Electrical Products Limited, and his family's steadfast support for the University.
CityUHK holds Naming Ceremony for Yip Kit Chuen Building
CityUHK hosted the naming ceremony for the Yip Kit Chuen Building on 3 October. The building is named after Dr Yip Kit-chuen, a prominent industrialist and entrepreneur in Hong Kong, in appreciation of his generous donations to the University’s development and research to nurture future talent.
CityUHK Undergraduate Info Day 2024
CityUHK will hold its Undergraduate Info Day on 5 October this year on the Kowloon Tong campus. Nearly 200 events will be held on that Day, allowing secondary school students and parents to learn about campus life at CityUHK, recent developments, the latest programmes and admissions information.

Mr Lester Garson Huang, Council Chairman of CityUHK, together with Provost and Deputy President Professor Lee Chun-sing, presided over a flag-raising ceremony at University Circle on 1 October to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
CityUHK student interns at the University of Oxford and participates in a machine learning research project
Recognised as the Most International University in the World by THE in 2024, CityUHK is committed to offering overseas exchange and internship opportunities for students to explore the world and broaden their horizons. He Siyu, a Year 3 student in the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Data Engineering programme, interned at the University of Oxford this summer.
