The Travel Alert System is not prohibitive, the decision to travel or to adjust the travel plans in accordance with the information provided is individual. It is recommended that Macao residents to purchase travel insurance with international medical evacuation coverage before traveling, as well as to check with the insurance companies in case of doubt about the terms and conditions of the coverage.
When traveling abroad, Macao residents should always pay attention to their personal belongings and travel documents to prevent thefts and robberies. They should also avoid protests and unsafe areas.
When heading to a specific destination, residents should be mindful of and respect the local laws, customs, and religious beliefs practiced in those destinations.
