Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming Calls on Singaporean Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean

On 13 June 2024, Ambassador Cao Zhongming called on Singaporean Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean. Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-Singapore practical cooperation and other issues.

Ambassador Cao said that Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean is an important participant, witness and promoter of China-Singapore relations, and has played a significant role in promoting practical cooperation between the two countries. Not long ago, Singapore successfully completed the leadership transition. It is believed that under the guidance of the fourth generation leaders, China-Singapore relations will continue to deepen. China stands ready to work with Singapore to promote political, economic and trade, cultural and security cooperation between the two countries to achieve more practical results.

Senior Minister Teo welcomed Ambassador Cao to Singapore, recalled the historical process of cooperation between Singapore and China, and expressed that the bilateral cooperation features a broad range of areas, a sound mechanism and a mature framework. Singapore values its unique partnership with China and is willing to continue to participate in and contribute to China’s development to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
