Results

We understand that getting your results is important to you. We know you want them quickly, but it is equally important that we give you the score that reflects your performance.

If you have taken IELTS on paper , you will be able to preview your results online after 13 days from the test date.  If you have taken IELTS on computer test, you will be able to preview your results online after 3 to 5 days from the test date.

We will send out a paper copy of your IELTS test score, the Test Report Form (TRF), via mail delivery 13 days after the test date for a paper-based test and 3 to 5 days after a computer-delivered test.

You may also request for your results to be sent to you by courier free of charge for local addresses.  A fee of Php 1,400 will be charged for international addresses

Additional Test Report Forms (TRFs) for institutions

We can forward copies of your IELTS results or the IELTS Test Result Form (TRF) to recognising institutions and organisations following submission of a request form. We offer free electronic sending to CGFNS and selected universities and institutions.  Please send the list of your requiring universities by email to [email protected] in order for to verify if they are subscribed to our free electronic service.

If your organisations/institutions are not subscribed to our free electronic service, you need to pay the applicable courier fee. The courier fees are Php1,400 for international address and Php250 for local embassies.

Candidates who avail of the paid courier service will be given a tracking or air waybill number to confirm delivery of the TRF.  Results will be forwarded within five working days of receiving the request  or 10 working days for requests paid through bank deposit.

Institutions may be able to view candidates’ scores through the IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) Verification Service. To do this they will need your TRF number which can be found in the bottom right corner of your TRF.

Validity period of Test Report Form

Institutions will not usually accept a Test Report Form that is more than two years old. After this time, you will need to provide them with evidence that you have maintained or improved your English since taking the test.

Enquiry on Results (EOR)

If you did not receive the score you expected, you can apply for your test to be re-marked. This is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR). You can choose which test sections you want to be re-marked and will need to request this at the test centre where you sat the test.

There is a fee for the Enquiry on Results service, which will be refunded if your score is increased for any section of the test. Updated rates below:

  • PhP 5,250 for the IELTS test
  • PhP 7,100 for the IELTS for UKVI test
  • PhP 5,300 for the IELTS Life Skills test

You need to apply for a re-marking no later than six weeks after the test date, regardless if you have taken IELTS on Paper or IELTS on Computer.

For regular IELTS, you need to submit an Enquiry on Results online from the Test Taker Portal.

If you have enquiry on your IELTS for UKVI test result, you can submit an EOR (Enquiry on Results) request through this link and pay the UKVI EOR fee online. We will review your request and process it by following the UKVI EOR procedure and policies.

The outcome of your Enquiry of Result (EOR) can become available on the same day as your application up to 21 days after it is submitted. The turnaround time of your application will depend on several factors, including the time of application and the number of sections requested for remark. Please get in touch with your test centre if you have not received a response after 21 days.

Understand your IELTS scores

IELTS provides results for all levels of English: there is no such thing as a pass or fail. You will be given a score from zero to nine for each part of the test – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking

Can I re-take the test?

You can take the test as many times as you wish. However, please note that to significantly improve your score, it is necessary to undertake further study. IELTS research indicates that scores are unlikely to improve without further English language tuition.

What is IELTS One Skill Retake, and how does it work?

IELTS One Skill Retake is a new feature designed to help you get your desired test score without retaking the full test. If you want to improve your score on one test skill, you can retake any of the four IELTS skills – Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking.

IELTS One Skill Retake is now available with the British Council in Philippines. It will further be available worldwide in selected British Council test locations from late 2023.
