The Committee for theUnited Nations Population Awardhas selected two laureates for 2024, in the “Individual” and “Institution” categories, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the awareness of population issues and solutions.
The laureates will be announced on 10 July, and the award ceremony will be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 11 July, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. EST. The event will also be broadcast onUN Web TV.
UNFPA serves as the Secretariat for the Committee for the United Nations Population Award. The Committee has overseen the selection of 85awardeessince 1983.
